The Society is delighted to provide members and non-members with this opportunity to expand your learning and up-skill in respect of Facility Management. This programme will present an overview of the sector and insight on the type and level of knowledge and expertise required of a competent professional facility manager.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for those new to Facility Management but is also suitable for established professionals who wish to expand their skillset and network.
If you are trying to get an understanding of the role of the Facility Manager and would like to meet some like-minded people, or maybe you are working in the sector and would like to progress your career in the profession, then this course is for you.

4. Insurance

- The insurance marketplace
- The need for insurance
- Foundation insurance principles and products
- Fundamentals of risk management
5. Health and Safety
Topics will include:
- Basics of legislation and regulation
- Developing systems and culture
- Risk Assessment basics
- Safety Statement and Safety Management Systems
6. Customer Service & Relationship Management
Topics will include:
- Service Level Agreements
- Tendering
- Contracts
- Team Building
- Professional Reporting
7. Delivery
The course will be delivered midweek evenings in - October to November 2017 in a city centre location. An indicative timetable is provided below.

- Those who complete the course will receive an SCSI Certificate.
