100% CPD Monitoring
SCSI CPD Regulations are aligned with RICS requirements as well as having regard for the requirements of the Registration Body and the Property Services Regulatory Authority.
Society Regulations state:
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) – “Members shall plan, undertake, record and evaluate appropriate continuing professional development of at least the minimum number of hours as the Society may decide from time to time and as set out in the Society’s guidance documentation relating to CPD and, on request, provide the Society with evidence that they have done so in accordance with the Society’s requirements in respect of CPD.”
It is a mandatory requirement for all members to use the SCSI MyCPD online recording tool to record their CPD activities.
The CPD Calendar year runs from 1st January to 31st December each year and surplus CPD hours cannot be carried over into the next year.
100% of Members CPD records are audited for compliance on an annual basis.
Members have until 31st January of each year to upload any outstanding records to MyCPD in preparation for audit by the Regulation Department.
SCSI/RICS Dual Members: SCSI audit the CPD records of Dual Members in Ireland, so members are not required to use the RICS online recording tool. CPD compliance of Dual Members is shared with RICS.
