About the Group

Members of this group in the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland are property management professionals with an interest in all aspects of residential, commercial and industrial property management. Members work in both the private and public sectors.

Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland Professional Groups are responsible for setting the strategic direction for the future of their specialisms and for identifying and serving the information needs of their members.

This section is used to communicate with the membership of the Group.

The purpose of the Property and Facilities Management Professional Group is to:

  • Define and seek to maintain high standards of practice and competence in the practice of property and facilities management surveying

  • Recommend routes to attaining professional competence;

  • Publish the requirements for competency in property and facilities management surveying, including any necessary qualification or experience, once approved by the Standing Committee on Education;

  • Provide and promote training and development opportunities, and publishing information relevant to property and facilities management surveying;

  • Take action with regards to and be responsible for matters which solely affect the Property and Facilities Management Professional Group;

  • Delegate work to sub committees or working parties of members and non-members as it considers appropriate.
