About the Group

Welcome to the homepage of the Rural Agency Surveying Professional Group.

Members of this group in the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland are land and property professionals with an interest in all aspects of rural affairs. Members work in both the private and public sectors.

Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland Professional Groups are responsible for setting the strategic direction for the future of their specialisms and for identifying and serving the information needs of their members.

This section is used to communicate with the membership of the Group.

Purpose of the Group

The purpose of the Rural Practice Professional Group Committee is to:

  • Define and seek to maintain high standards of practice and competence in Rural surveying practice

  • Recommend routes to attaining professional competence;

  • Publish the requirements for competency in Rural surveying, including any necessary qualification or experience, once approved by the Standing Committee on Education;

  • Provide and promote training and development opportunities, and publishing information relevant to Rural surveying;

  • Take action with regards to and be responsible for matters which solely affect the Rural Surveying Professional Group;
